Sorry I haven't been updating, and even my cambodia photos. It's in lovelycambodia.com by the way. Enjoy!
Besides that, my maternal grandma has recently passed away, but I believe she's really happy now with grandpa and her parents. Tonight is afterall, the 7th day/ night of her passing.
Last but not least, just watching a show called Ai Shang Qian Jin Mei Mei. Am really glad I don't have to go through such hardships... but if i ever do, i hope someone will stand by me when i fall...

I bought myself a language book today with bare basics khmer (Cambodian language) and 50 aquatabs for water purification. meant for 1 L water per tab... and gave 20 to my dad already for his europe trip.
So excited there! What else have I got to pack? Hmmm... gotta discuss who's bringing what toiletries. No point everyone bringing in duplicates right? Erm... need to get a map, pack 4-5 sets of clothes, sanitary napkins in case, chocolates for good humour, list of food to try and an even more details itinerary. Guess what? I need 1 pair of trekking shoes and 1 pair of sandles. We're hiking to the water rapids! Picnic time!!!! Bring 1 can of tuna to share!

I'm sooo looking forward to going to Cambodia. I've got 2 guidebooks borrowed and extended... and I've done all the research there is I think. All I need now is to do some air ticket exchanging and because of poor memory, write down everything I might need as immediate information! Last but not least, a language book. ARRRHHH!!! I totally forgot about that today!
Remind me, guys. Oh, did I forgot to mention my travelling partners? My affable galfriend Huishi, who is technically my SO's galfriend, one very lethal pool player who's freelancing now for photography and websites called Rajesh (and he's quite cute) and last but not least, a long-time old pal since secondary school mIRC days Tingguan (or Guan) who does photography and is looking for an aim in life!
So there now, and no, there won't be any orgies. Sad to disappoint!

I forgot what I wanted to write tonight, a fleeting thought with a sliver of light, ungraspable, out of reach. As always, my mind never focuses too long on details, and just jumps from idea to thought and back.
Oh yes, the Colours of Magic is the next movie to look out for. The first book of Terry Pratchett, it's going to be out in full beauty, showing how the Discworld is actually pictured on the back of 4 elephants of the back of a beautiful turtle. Look out it, but I'm going to prepare for this by starting to read on it first!!! It has a wonderfully detailed trailer, by the way.
And if you see me, remind me to buy some joint food!

Another wine outing tonight, and my alcohol tolerance has gone down. 2 glasses of wine, and i'm feeling the drain. Is it because I've been work and am out, or is it because I'm getting lousier? No idea there...
Next outing scheduled first week of May, on a saturday. Labour day? nahhh...
Life is good so far. I've been a blessed girl. Probably only issue is my current discontentment. Why am I complaining when I have everything I need? Somehow, I'm also one of the never-satisfied-s.

That kinda reminds me... how am i going to contact all my sec school friends for a gathering? planning to have one in may actually. tips please?
Oh well, had a not too bad week. Customer kinda offered me an interview to work under her (a director) but i'm not too keen with the distance. 7-10 positions offered, for deg holders with technical, IT, engineering and other specialities. Please ask if you need a job!

I've received a complaint about irregular posting! I'm sincerely sorry... and so I decided to update on my current life.
1. Took part in a photojournal which I took a few photographs. Here's 1 not submitted:
2. Went for a work trip to Penang for 4 days. No photo taken, and boss was ill. Not eventful for him, but I see a wealth of potential in the market there.
3. I am thoroughly happy for my friend, Bruce, who got a gf now! I think he really deserves to have a gf, not that it's a present. He's a really hide-nothing person and gives 100% of himself even for friends. I admire such people. Congratulations!
4. I still like Wang Li Hong. Now I like this new guy called Jam Hsiao. Super cool guy who doesn't talk much but sings deviliciously!

It's been 10 years since I studied this book by Amy Tan. Was frantically searching for it a fortnight back, hoping to reminiscence the wonderful magic of chinese mahjong in america, the lives of 4 chinese women who escaped from China and living their own lives, imparting their birthrights to their daughters.
I actually went to the library almost everyday last week just to wait and search for the returning book copies and was disappointed time and again. 2-3 days ago, I got the book and sadly... the lustre was played down by the fact that I watched tv on sunday and got interested in a drama serial. Lo and behold! I went online, searched it out on youtube and spent the next 3 days watching 33 episodes. That's at being hardworking to catch 11 episodes a day...
Now that I'm reading Joy Luck Club again, it seems just like any other book. I guess the break in-between and the disruptive drama serial has reduced the literary radience I would have initially enjoyed.
I truly recommend this complex entanglement of lives and stories, embracing the heritage and learning how each part of us in the chinese belief affects us in different ways. And how chinese thinking is different from american thinking. I am chinese, and I love being who I am (except the increasing plumpness!).
